| Transportation |

| Kingston and Surbiton Town Centres both have mainline stations which are in Zone 6. Surbiton station has two platforms with trains continually travelling into London and Waterloo and is renowned for its fast trains. The last train out of Waterloo to Surbiton is at approximately 1am in the morning. Bus services in the borough are equally as good. In particular the 281 which is a 24hr bus. |

| Kingston is an excellent town centre for shopping. Many of the well known brand names have shops in the main high street and in the three storey Bentall Centre. Surbiton town centre is on a smaller scale and has many individual shops, cafes, bars restaurants as well as Waitrose, Sainsburys and a Marks & Spencer express shop. |
| Traditional market place |

Kingston town centre has a historic market place located in the middle of the town still selling fruit, vegetables and flowers. The central area is surrounded by interesting buildings and in the summer is used as a café area. |
| Riverside walks |
 |
The River Thames has a tow path which extends along side Surbiton and Kingston, and continues to Richmond in one direction and Hampton Court in the other. Along the way there is an abundance of cafes and bars to suit all tastes. |
| Entertainment and nightlife |

Kingston has plenty of entertainment facilities to offer all ages. There are nightclubs, The Rose theatre, and the Rotunda Complex which has 14 cinemas and a bowling alley. |
| Pubs and Bars |

Kingston and Surbiton have a wide range of traditional pubs, wine bars, and restaurants. Just about any type of food you could wish for can be found in both towns. |
| Green spaces |

There are no less than 3 parks within walking distance - Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park and Bushey Park. |
